Totally amazing. Best video of yours ever! Possible reasons why I liked it:
1. I ask many of those same questions myself
2. the aesthetics: simple, classy, elegant & quirky all at once
3. humor: I laughed out loud more than once
4. the painful twinge in my chest at the more serious bits: I remember the bag o’ poison days
5. the hand-drawn illustrations. “Boy, you can draw!”
6. your facial expressions: another layer of subtext
7. the phrase “SalamanderSlam”
8. reference to Lost (I faithfully watched every episode until the conversion to HD caused us to lose access to our one TV channel, but can’t say I understand it)
9. profound ideas stated simply

One of my new favorites of yours, Dave. Interesting to see all the different perspectives of people. I think it shows another problem that we have – we all have different solutions… But I suppose a bonus is that at least we recognize that things need to be changed. Now, how to do it in an organized, active, communal, peaceful way that actually accomplishes something? I don’t know. Back to the basics, I guess – haul water, chop wood, love my neighbor.

A mystical ballet of wonder and delight. My teacher years ago also called her Berenice. Perhaps the ballet of Berenice. More please…
