Frogtechnium is an alternate-evolution world where amphibian-derived people travel and live among a small human population as kin. Shared culture of patched coats and quilted armor, alongside companion robots and dogs in dignified service, crosses wide and varied geography. The water is rising. The forests are cooling. The roads are breaking. These threats are not motivated by evil intent or will to power, but by a mismatch of values and breakdowns of communication following the poorly understood appearance of ravenous reptiles and their bird-like handlers. I've been building this world for many years, most recently using generative tools and the same eye that made the macro photographs elsewhere in this site. The visual register comes from a decade of nature photography, which trains a person to read creature character at small scale and to find emotion in non-human faces. What follows summarizes this world in stills, motion, and bible.
Humans, frog-people, and crafted companions share the warmth of a long evening. Named characters who know one another, working out the day around a single light.
