Taxonomy of fragments. The working title, later overruled. See p. 06.
Contents shift with handling · entries resettle on every visit
The finished sections of this site are rooms. This is the bench beside them: fragments of AI illustration, video, and animation that have no room yet.
Every hunt produces more than its trophy. A world still with no scene to hold it. A character who lost the audition. Twelve seconds of rain built purely to practice timing. None of it fits the main sections, and all of it is evidence: finished rooms show where the work landed, the notebook shows the judgment while it was still moving. If you reached the end of the site wanting more, this is where the rest lives.
A note on the mess. Entries go in when they happen, at whatever angle the weather allows. The current design spec bans rotated-for-casualness elements, and for good reason: fake mess is a stock trick. The bet on this page is different. The mess is functional, the law is underneath, and every crooked plate can be filed straight. Judge with the switch on the right.

the leftover world
Built during an establishing-shot hunt for the Frogtechnium reel. The scene it was made for got cut. The place refused to be deleted. Fragments like this are location scouting for stories that have not asked for them yet.
→a set with no play. patience.

the borrowed line
A style transfer study: decades of brush habit offered to a model as a reference set, then graded against the hand that taught it. Most attempts read as costume. The keepers read as kin. The grading rubric is the real artifact here.
→the machine copies the mark, not the pressure. yet.

the almost-character
Character design produces a population. The bible keeps one. This face came out of the Chank Rivet reference sessions and did not make the cut, held because the reject pile is where casting logic shows. What gets cut explains the taste better than what stays.
→wrong for chank. right for something.

the motion test
An animation test with no plot: weather crossing a window, retimed until it breathed. Motion has to be earned at this scale before it gets spent on a character. Twelve seconds of rain is the way a pianist runs scales.
→timing is a muscle. this is the gym.

the useful mistake
A render that went wrong in an instructive direction. The prompt asked for one thing, the reference argued for another, and the reference won. That failure named a pattern now written into the production guardrails. The mistake earned its page.

→the reference shouts louder than the text. noted.
→stillness is a direction too. filed with the mistake it answers.
the awaited specimen
The reserved page did not stay open long. This came in at a run: wind-up citizens mid-stampede in a rainy alley, all panic, no pursuer. The strip keeps the workshop view, an edit half-made and two character sheets from the same bench. Some specimens have to be found. This one arrived on its own.
→reserved and filed the same day. closer than noted.

no useless experiments
Every notebook keeps one page that should have failed triage. This is that page. It made nothing to use, went nowhere, and named no pattern. It stays for the rule it proves. In this practice there are no useless experiments, only experiments whose use has not arrived. Some teach the hand and leave no trophy. This fragment is the receipt for hours that produced only skill.
→the dud that pays for the wins. keep it.

Candidates, as scribbled. One boxed in grease pencil. It is on the door now.
